Ioanna Constantiou

Ioanna Constantiou is a Professor of Information Systems at the Department of Digitalization in Copenhagen Business School, with special responsibility to conduct research on Digital Transformation. She is the academic director of the CBS’s Business in Society initiative on Digital Transformations. From 2017 to 2020, Ioanna Constantiou was employed, as a Professor of Information Systems at the Department of Applied IT in University of Gothenburg in Sweden (part-time from July 2017). She received her Ph.D. from Department of Management Science and Technology, Athens University of Economics and Business in 2003.

Her current research work focuses on the impact of digital platforms in traditional industries as well as the impact of digital technologies and in particular AI in everyday life and the digital transformations in society. Her research has been published in a number of academic outlets, including, the Journal of Information Technology, the Journal of Strategic Information Systems, the European Journal of Information Systems, the Decision Support Systems and MISQ Executive. Ioanna Constantiou currently serves as a senior editor in the Journal of Strategic Information Systems and the Electronic Markets journal.
